THIS DOESN'T ADD UP...The Cases of Sudiksha Konanki and Ryan Shtuka

Missing Person Cases in Human Trafficking Zones

It’s the morning after St. Patrick’s Day, and I had someone yesterday ask if I would look into the disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki. I had actually already done a reading on Sudiksha, before her case went viral on mass media. The puzzling factor when I went to read her energy I didn’t feel the energy of water in the lungs or that she drowned. Intuitively, and not based on fact or evidence, I felt that she was alive. It confused me. Yet, when I woke up this morning and decided to look more closely into her case, once again, I realized details energetically didn’t make sense to me.

As a True Crime Medium, I have investigated hundreds of homicides, cold cases, and missing person cases around the world. My goal in providing mediumship, remote viewing, and channeled messages is to ask questions. I am in no way attempting to solve the case. That is for law enforcement agencies and the judicial process to do.

I pulled through some details regarding Sudiksha that to me don’t make sense and led me toward wanting investigators to look into possible Human Trafficking.

Missing Pitt student Sudiksha Konanki and fling Joshua Riibe seen throwing up in resort bar moments before she disappeared.

If you watch this video as posted in the Daily Mail, you’ll notice that Sudiksha and Joshua are both seen vomiting.

It’s odd to me that both of them were vomiting at the same bar. I’d want to investigate was there something, an ingredient or substance, that was put into the drinks at the bar. Were they being watched or followed?

I also wanted to share some of these key pieces that can provide more context on why I was led to human trafficking as a possible theory.

How did Ryan Shtuka get pulled into my intuitive investigation?

When I opened my phone, I was receiving many new comments on an old video of mine about his case.

The reason that my video was getting noticed on TikTok was that it was from another true crime storyteller who shared Ryan’s story

So I woke up and realized that I was looking into Sudiksha, and with notifications, I saw similarities with Ryan Shtuka, whom I also believe was abducted.

Key Similarities:

  1. Age and Background:

    • Both were 20 years old at the time of their disappearances.

    • Ryan Shtuka was a young man from Alberta, Canada, working a seasonal job at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia.

    • Sudiksha Konanki was a University of Pittsburgh student from Virginia, USA, vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, during spring break. SOURCE: AP News+10People.com+10WTAE+10

  2. Circumstances of Disappearance:

    • Both vanished during the early hours after social events:

      • Ryan was last seen leaving a house party at Sun Peaks Resort around 2:10 AM on February 17, 2018.

      • Sudiksha was last seen on a beach near her resort around 4:50 AM on March 6, 2025, after spending time with friends and acquaintances.

  3. Environmental Factors:

    • Challenging environmental conditions were present in both cases:People.com

      • Ryan disappeared in a mountainous, snow-covered area with freezing temperatures.

      • Sudiksha went missing near the ocean, where strong tides and waves were reported at the time.

  4. Search Efforts:

    • Both cases prompted extensive search operations involving local authorities, volunteers, and specialized teams:

      • Ryan's disappearance led to ground searches, use of drones, and involvement of search and rescue teams.

      • Sudiksha's case saw coordinated efforts by Dominican authorities, the FBI, and the Interpol, utilizing drones, helicopters, and maritime rescue teams.

  5. Family Involvement:

    • In both instances, the families actively participated in search efforts and public appeal Source: 6abc Philadelphia+1Fox News+1

      • Ryan's family organized searches and maintained a public profile to keep the case in the public eye.

      • Sudiksha's family traveled to the Dominican Republic, collaborated with authorities, and requested official declarations to facilitate closure.

Notable Differences:

  • Geographical Locations:

    • Ryan disappeared in a cold, mountainous region in Canada.

    • Sudiksha went missing in a tropical beach setting in the Dominican Republic.

  • Witness Accounts:

    • Ryan was last seen leaving a party alone, with no reports of accompanying individuals.

    • Sudiksha was last seen with a fellow vacationer, who has provided accounts of the events leading up to her disappearance.

These similarities highlight the tragic and perplexing nature of both disappearances, underscoring the challenges faced by authorities and families in seeking answers.

I also went to AI to gather more information on Human Trafficking.

Human trafficking is a significant concern in both British Columbia, Canada, and the Dominican Republic, though the nature and extent of the issue vary between these regions.

British Columbia, Canada:

Dominican Republic:

  • Scope: The Dominican Republic serves as a source, transit, and destination country for human trafficking, with both domestic and international victims subjected to sexual exploitation and forced labor. U.S. Department of State+5Wikipedia+5Wikipedia+5

  • Child Exploitation: A study by the International Justice Mission revealed that one in ten individuals engaged in commercial sexual exploitation in the Dominican Republic are children. IJM USA

  • Sex Tourism: The country has a reputation as a destination for sex tourism, with certain areas experiencing higher rates of exploitation. Wikipedia

Missing Persons Rates:

  • Canada: In 2021, there were 3,541 police-reported incidents of human trafficking in Canada between 2011 and 2021. Vancouver Police Department

  • Dominican Republic: Specific statistics on missing persons related to human trafficking are limited. However, the country's challenges with human trafficking, particularly involving vulnerable populations, suggest a correlation with cases of missing individuals.

Given the high rates of human trafficking in both British Columbia, Canada, and the Dominican Republic, it would be a mistake not to investigate human trafficking as a potential factor in both Ryan Shtuka’s and Sudiksha Konanki’s disappearances. There are key red flags in both cases that align with trafficking patterns, and authorities should explore all possibilities, even if no direct evidence has surfaced yet.

Why Human Trafficking Should Be Investigated in Both Cases

  1. Both Individuals Were Young, Healthy, and in Social Situations

    • Ryan Shtuka was a 20-year-old man at a party, in an area where workers are transient and social gatherings happen late at night.

    • Sudiksha Konanki was a 20-year-old woman on vacation, making her vulnerable as a tourist in a foreign country.

  2. Both Were Last Seen Late at Night / Early Morning

    • Ryan: Last seen around 2:10 AM walking home from a house party in Sun Peaks, BC.

    • Sudiksha: Last seen around 4:50 AM near a beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Traffickers often target people in these vulnerable moments, especially at night when there are fewer witnesses and people are more likely to be intoxicated.

  3. Both Were in Areas Where People Can Go Missing Without a Trace

    • Ryan disappeared in a ski resort area—cold, remote, and difficult to track footprints if he had been taken.

    • Sudiksha disappeared near the ocean—a place where trafficking victims have been known to be taken via boats.

Both environments are isolated, making abduction easier.

  4. High Trafficking Activity in These Regions

    • British Columbia is a known hub for human trafficking due to large transient populations, ski resorts, and tourism.

    • The Dominican Republic is a well-known destination for sex trafficking and forced labor.

  5. No Bodies, No Evidence

    • Despite exhaustive searches, neither Ryan nor Sudiksha’s remains have been found.

    • If it were an accident (e.g., drowning, hypothermia), bodies or personal belongings would have likely surfaced.

    • Trafficking cases often involve victims being moved quickly, making it hard to track their whereabouts.

  6. Reported Suspicious Activity That Was Never Investigated

    • In Ryan’s case, unverified reports exist of a man yelling “Get in the truck!” near the time of his disappearance. This has never been fully investigated.

    • In Sudiksha’s case, the person who was last with her was questioned but not considered a suspect. Were all leads checked?

Next Steps: What do you think should be done?

  • Authorities should investigate any known human trafficking operations active during the time of these disappearances.

  • Check nearby surveillance footage, traffic cams, and GPS tracking from phones.

  • Look into reported suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area that night.

  • Consider the possibility of both being taken across borders or through underground networks.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I intuitively believe that Sudiksha is out of the country. I felt energy pulled toward Haiti, and I believe that transportation with a boat was used at some time during transport in regards to Human Trafficking.

My questions are only about intuitive downloads I receive. Like I said at the start, my goal isn’t to solve the case, I leave that to the professionals. But the real question is what do you think?
